A one-year, personal and professional development program for small, diverse groups of women and women-identifying leaders working within the social sector in the New York City-metropolitan area. Through monthly meetings, the program provides access to growth opportunities, leadership development, a safe space for learning and sharing, and a network of supportive peers.
Issroff Family Foundation (IFF) envisions a world where all children and youth have promising futures in thriving communities. To that end, IFF offers WeareWISE: a year-long, personal and professional development program for small, diverse groups of women and women-identifying leaders working within the social sector in the New York City metropolitan area. Through monthly meetings convened by an IFF Team Member, the program provides access to growth opportunities, leadership development, a safe space for learning and sharing, and a network of supportive peers.
Over the course of the program, each member of a cohort is invited to lead one peer-learning session. Sessions cover a variety of topics but always reflect a spirit of sharing best practices for personal evolution and professional success. Sessions have covered topics like metrics, networking, negotiating pay, and work-life integration. In addition to monthly meetings, both current and alumni WeareWISE members are encouraged to attend a quarterly speaker series, called Community Conversations, as well as annual social gatherings.
