A one-year, intensive leadership and capacity-strengthening program for founders or leaders of early-stage community-based organizations working through education to improve outcomes for children and youth in East and Southern Africa. Through CLI, IFF partners with leaders and their organizations to broaden knowledge, skills, and networks, providing participants with the virtual and emotional space to bond and collaborate with like-valued changemakers in order to develop context-relevant solutions to challenges in their communities.
Issroff Family Foundation (IFF) envisions a world where all children and youth have promising futures in thriving communities. To that end, IFF offers the Collaborative Learning Initiative (CLI): a one-year, intensive leadership and capacity-strengthening program for founders or leaders of early-stage community-based organizations working through education to improve outcomes for children and youth in East and Southern Africa.
Through CLI, IFF invests in exceptional leaders and their organizations to dramatically enhance professional capabilities, strategic thinking, and influential networks. Participants gain invaluable emotional time and space to connect with like-valued changemakers, develop context-relevant solutions, and simultaneously advance their personal leadership competencies.
The program offers comprehensive professional development with experienced facilitators focused on several critical organizational domains: financial management, human resources, board governance, strategic fundraising, leadership wellness, and program strategy development. IFF also facilitates strategic introductions to funders and other practitioners within the ecosystem, creating opportunities for collaboration and sustainable growth. By the end of the program, leaders graduate with a comprehensive three- to five-year Strategic Plan, as well as the knowledge, tools, network, and resources to implement the plan, so that they can amplify their impact in their communities.
The program combines learning, networking, and funding for comprehensive and sustainable leadership and organizational development, including:
