Leo Henghes is the Founder and Team Lead at United Social Ventures, a nonprofit venture builder for innovative Ugandan social startups. USV helps social entrepreneurs at the start of their journeys to cross the ‘pioneer gap’ through its unique methodology to build ideas to pre- seed investment readiness. To date, the organisation has supported over 150 ventures to raise over $1.4M. Leo graduated from Oxford University in 2013 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He lived in Uganda for the next ten years - starting at Makerere University’s Nsibirwa Hall where the model for USV was developed.He’s recently relocated to London with his wife, Esther, and daughter, Emara, to lead on fundraising for the next stage of USV’s strategy. His work has won him recognition as a 2016 YouthActionNet Global Fellow, a 2018 Praxis Emerging Founder, and a 2022 Acumen East Africa Fellow.

Max Weber Asiimwe holds an MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship and has a background in Engineering. He has 5 years experience working with technology startups and doing small-scale manufacturing. He also has previous Retail banking experience. He is passionate about technology, innovation, and helping entrepreneurs flourish in creating social change.
