Simbas Footprints Foundation is a registered Tanzanian NGO serving children in the Kilimanjaro region. First established as a children’s home, the foundation evolved into Simbas Community Center that prioritizes community voices in program development, enabling community members to take an active role in shaping their own development.

Charles Godfrey Massawe is the Executive Director of Simbas Footprints Foundation, a non-profit organization based in the Kilimanjaro region. With a personal journey that propelled him from living on the streets to a children's home, Charles developed a profound passion for community development. Since joining Simbas Footprints in 2017 after graduating from university, he have been instrumental in transforming it into a thriving Community Centre.Today, Simbas Footprints impacts over 2000 children and youths through diverse programs focusing on education, women's empowerment, and youth engagement. The organization works closely with the community, addressing challenges such as youth and women unemployment, educational quality, and gender inequality. Collaborating with 12 public schools, initiatives include educational programs and renovation projects.
