Rebecca connects people to their power, purpose, and joy. She does this through her work as an educator, social entrepreneur, coach, and photographer. She dreams of a world in which ALL people have the knowledge, skills, and community they need to thrive! She co-founded Metis, a non-profit in Kenya to transform education through local leadership and innovation. To date, the Metis Fellowship has supported 95 education leaders to impact 1.5 million learners. As a Fulbright scholar,Rebecca studied teacher and leadership development in India, embedding with Teach for India, STIR Education, 321, Dream a Dream, and other education organizations for 10 months. Prior to Metis, Rebecca supported school transformation in informal settlements through Communities of Practice as Program Director at Dignitas. She was a principal and Director of Student Achievement at SPARK Schools, and began her career as a bilingual educator with Teach for America.
