Stephen is a development practitioner andhe Founder of Kisoboka Africa an organization that build skills and ensure access to finances for women and youth in rural Uganda to start business for improved livelihoods. Through his leadership, Kisoboka Africa has economically empowered over 3000 households including refugee households in the Lwengo district and Nakivale refugee settlement, helping them save over $300,000 and starting more than 1500 small enterprises. These households have been able to retain over 4600 children in schools. Stephen is a Mandela Washington fellow, a CLI fellow , a YALI RLC East Africa alumnus, a 2018 Queen`s Young Leader, 2016 world Bank Blog4Dev winner and a Building Tomorrow Uganda fellowship alumnus. He was also a high a panelist at The World Innovation Summit (WISE) 2019 in Qatar sharing strategies how the world can ensure that every child has access to education.
